CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

I just watched an episode of America’s Got Talent, and I am bawling.  If an autistic young adult can affect millions of people with his voice then I must believe in the power of expression.

So many of us ask ourselves, who am I to make a change?  Who am I to inspire others?

I know all too well this vulnerability, the feeling of smallness and fear of exposure.

So, I just want to say I get it.  Yet a voice deep within the soul will not give up, or stay small or hide in the corner.  The light inside is too bright, feels too much and sees too much to ignore what needs to happen.

I beseech you.  Find a passion and do it more.  Let it fill your time and heart until you discover more.  It is possible to clear away negativity. You do not have to believe every thought that pops into your head.  You have a choice.

So, choose.  Even if you fail.  At least it was you who chose and you will learn and find a new valuable way.

Sometimes I ask.  Can I value me? I am not always sure.  But I want to be sure, because my intentions are pure and I feel too damn much.  Does this resonate with you? Were you told all too often that you are stupid? Did you feel unimportant, were you ignored or rejected?

That is not you.  You are you, pure and whole and moving forward always.  Because that is what you seek.

I know in my heart that running and yoga and movement and training make us strong physically but mostly mentally.  Our lives as humans depend on it. And we are here to have human moments that transcend even ourselves.

That autistic boy, was so pure and so human and limited.  But when he sang, oh boy did his chords come through like a bolt of lightning straight through the heart.  And he cannot be ignored. Neither should you.
